It impacts battery life significantly. The speed of draining varies depending on the battery size and your phone's processor. A smaller battery or faster processor results in quicker depletion.

The program Generic Battery Drainer affects your battery by engaging in any mix of the following actions:

• Intensive CPU tasks
• GPU computations (may also strain the CPU)
• Keeping the flashlight activated
• Maximizing screen brightness using Wake Lock
• Continuous GPS requests
• Continuous WiFi scanning
• Continuous Bluetooth scanning

Select which features you wish to activate and permissions you are comfortable granting. For instance, you can use the other features without enabling GPS permission if uneasy about it.

Permissions:

Certain functionalities mandate permissions to operate. You retain the freedom to grant only those you approve of while declining others. No permissions are necessary for CPU and GPU load. The app does not store, share, or collect any data.

Permissions:

• Camera: Necessary for utilizing the LED torch (flash) and maintaining its operation.
• Access fine location: Required for initiating GPS requests.
• WiFi state: Essential for executing WiFi scans.
• System settings: Needed to optimize brightness and prevent the screen from timing out even when the app runs in the background.

Operation:

Upon clicking Start, the app will commence a foreground service with the chosen drainers. A menu will appear in the notification bar, allowing you to minimize or close the app as long as you don't dismiss the notification. To halt draining, press Stop in the notification menu.

Warning: Enabling CPU or GPU load will considerably slow down your phone's performance when using other applications!

Details:

• CPU load: Spawns one thread per core in your processor and continuously performs combinations of Integer, Floating Point, and Double Precision math tasks.
• GPU load: Conducts parallelized matrix multiplication of random Floating Point numbers on the GPU. Excessive load may engage the CPU as well.
• Flash: Sustaining the flashlight consumes battery power, understandably.
• Screen and Wake Lock: Maintains maximum screen brightness and constant operation, even if the app is in a minimized or closed state. Restoring default screen brightness levels upon stopping operation.
• GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi: Each utility undergoes a scan, starting a new scan once completed. The continuous scanning contributes to battery drainage.

Tips for Use:

• If you aim to deplete your battery rapidly, activate all options.
• CPU/GPU load will reduce phone responsiveness and speed. Avoid enabling CPU/GPU load when using your phone for activities like messaging, video watching, or gaming simultaneously.
• Your device might heat up while employing this app. Monitor the in-app battery status display periodically.
• You can establish cutoff limits within the settings section.
